This month we took 22 children and several mothers to the annual Salvation Army Children's Day event. This island wide gathering involved over 600 children from towns and villages all over Sri Lanka. Our kids enjoyed singing on the 2 hour bus ride with several other villages to the Salvation Army campgrounds. Once there they had a parade to the main stage area and enjoyed watching other villages perform their custom dances and songs. We continue to appreciate and enjoy the good work the Salvation Army is doing for the children of Samagama, as well as all of Sri Lanka.
